Woven Approach
While each AoKids centre has its own identity, we are all woven together through shared values like the strands of a ie tōga (fine mat), each one important, each one adding to the strength of the whole.
This is reflected in how aim to work together across AoKids. We are stronger when we collaborate and share our resources, ideas, and learning
Each centre brings its own community, culture, and way of doing things. When these are woven together, they create something unique and strong for their individual centres.
This means every centre can respond to what their own community needs, while still being part of the wider AoKids family – connected, supported, and growing together.
Supporting Tamariki And Whānau
Across all our centres, we create environments where tamariki and their whānau feel welcome, comfortable, and connected.
We build genuine relationships with families, knowing that learning begins with a strong sense of belonging.
What this looks like in practice:
- spaces that reflect the cultures and identities of our communities
- strong, trusting relationships with tamariki and whānau
- environments where children feel safe to be themselves
- thoughtful, quality teaching that supports learning and growth
